We will continue to do this efforts as an ongoing basis to create awareness among the living community in Surya Nagar Slum and also ensure their participation in these activities thus making the environment and revival of humanity. It was also amazing to see the young kids joining us this morning which is a welcome change and powerful impact.

Special thanks to Praveen and Muthu for photo coverage of this event with their awesome clicks which is significant contribution to create awareness among everyone in the social media. Beach cleanup with SSTCN (Students Sea Turtle Conservation Network) and CTC - Jan 2-3

Saturday around 400 volunteers from Student's Sea Turtle Conservation Network (SSTCN), Chennai and Chennai Trekking Club removed 4 lorries of garbage from the Chennai beaches between Orurkuppam to Broken bridge afternoon to pave the way for the Olive ridley sea turtle-s landing on the beaches soon for the annual nesting season.
On Sunday around 100 volunteers continued removing garbage accumulated from the nearby Adyar river. It was heartening to see many volunteers joining in as families along with their kids. At places even locals joined with us in lending a hand, which was not a first :) Cleanliness awareness is spreading!

CTC also have helped SSTCN set up their turtle hatchery, which will become active shortly once the turtle nesting season starts.
