Wednesday, February 8, 2012

It was a great day to start our Republic day ride with 23 enthusiastic souls to Pichavaram mangrove forest. We assembled at Thiruvanmayiur depot by 3am and started our Freedom ride at 4.30am.

Our first pitstop for regrouping is at ECR Toll gate, had a small discussion about the next pit stop, fuel filling and we started out for the ride. We rode out continuously for next hour by following the tail of Rajendara prasd and Kamal was the sweep. It was awesome experience riding early morning that to nowhere 12 beast fly’s in Easy Rider Formation looks majestic. We had a tea Break @ after 20km from mahabalipuram. It was a beautiful to ride as the sun arises beside as we move on further.

After 3hrs of ride stop at Pondicherry Arch, for filling a fuel for our mean machine...  With a surprise RP took us to the beach it’s just 15min relax...Photographers started there clicks. As the road were totally messed up with recent Thane storm. We had our breakfast at 10kms before Pichavram.

Around 11.30 we reached the pichavaram. Made lot of good friends, started boating it to mangrove of the boat man started singing old songs and we to started following him had hell lot of fun...

We reached the beach shore, we were feeling damn hungry...started having Chicken Biryani and Fish Fry...enjoyed the clayey beach. it was another photo section with the scenic beauty of sea...

We left the beach and we came back to the forest department's office @ 4.30pm. It’s time to wake up our beast to a powerful ride back to Chennai.

We decided to take Chidambaram route...adventure ride starts full and full OFF ROADING
It was a classic road, started testing our suspensions... a huge relief once we reached the NH 45. We gathered one final time together  @ Chengalpet tool booth to say good bye to our new friends...with lots of memories had a different day with CTC....

Thanks to Kamal & RP for organizing such a passionable ride.........
